La Transumante is a traveling work, halfway between public installation and performance, presented by the French artist Johann le Guillerm, a multi-award winning circus artist, involved in a multidisciplinary research path that mixes sculpture, installation, performance, conference and live performance.
With La Transumante the artist builds a wooden creature, made of one hundred and sixty blocks of three meters in length, which will cross the places of La Festa di Roma, animated and handled by ten performers. A real game of precarious and constantly changing equilibrium comes to life before the eyes of the public: the axes that make up this sculpture, in fact, are not kept by nails, screws and bolts, but they hold together only through the pressure that each element of wood has on the other.
